I wanted to share something that's been on my mind recently. As the rise of AI generated audiobooks continues, I want to share some important facts.
While technology has brought us many amazing innovations, there's something truly special about a human narrator bringing a story to life with their unique voice, emotion, and interpretation. Audiobooks narrated by talented human voices create a more immersive and engaging experience that's hard to replicate.
While I appreciate the sentiment of so many of my listeners offering to boycott Audible and Amazon, that will do us and the authors more harm than good because it is still the largest audiobook selling platform.
Rather than not purchasing from Audible and Amazon, REFUSE to buy AI narrated books from ANY platform. As of now, there is supposed to be an identifying factor to inform you that something is AI generated.
